AWN CropAI is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application to monitor and forecast Fruit Surface Temperature (FST), analyze fruit color, and optionally contribute to agricultural research through image and data sharing.
1. Information We Collect
AWN CropAI collects the following types of information only if you opt in to share data fto support research and model improvement:
- Thermal-RGB images provided by you—either captured through the app or selected from your device gallery—for calculating fruit surface temperature.
- Crop and cultivar information entered by the user.
- Approximate device location at the time of app use.
If you do not opt in, this information is processed temporarily for in-app functionality but is not stored or retained by AWN CropAI.
2. Optional Data Sharing for Research
AWN CropAI aims to improve its FST forecasting models by crowdsourcing high-quality, real-world data. You may choose to opt in to share your images and related information for research purposes.
- Opting in is entirely voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time via the app settings.
- When you opt in, your shared data may be used in aggregate and anonymized form to support scientific research, model training, and academic publications.
3. Use of Collected Data
If you consent to data sharing, your data may be used for the following purposes:
- Enhancing the accuracy and performance of FST forecasting algorithms.
- Agricultural research and model development.
- Improving app features and user experience.
The shared data will never be sold or used for advertising purposes.

- Data shared with consent is stored securely and used only by authorized research personnel.
- We implement technical safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.

6. Children’s Privacy
AWN CropAI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal obligations, or features of the app.
If you have shared your email with us, we will notify you of any significant changes. Otherwise, we do not provide in-app notifications of updates. We encourage all users to review the Privacy Policy periodically.
Continued use of the app after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
